Volunteers
Volunteering at the Liberty Lake Library
Whether helping with a short-term project, regularly scheduled task or special event, our volunteers contribute their unique talents, skills and knowledge to enrich our library.
Note: Volunteers age 13 and under must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
Volunteer Activities
Volunteering at the library offers enjoyable work as well as the satisfaction of knowing how much your efforts benefit your community. It requires a commitment of your time, usually on a regular schedule, plus participation in some basic orientation and training. Volunteer activities include but are not limited to:
- Teaching or assisting with craft and other programs
- Shelve materials and search for missing items
- Help with large events, like Halloween Family Night
- Cleaning picture books, DVDs, or computers
Please contact Ronda Gimlen, the Volunteer Coordinator, for a list of current opportunities.
How to Apply
Fill out the Volunteer application (PDF) and background check form. Return the completed paperwork to the library.
Students age 13 and under fulfilling community service requirements for school will be accepted as volunteers on a case-by-case basis. Anyone needing to volunteer to fulfill outside requirements must agree to do so for at least three (3) months, even if that exceeds their requirements.
