Liberty Lake has been my home since 2008 when my wife and I decided this was THE community in which we want to raise our children.  I was wrapping up my degree in landscape architecture from Washington State University at that time and a master planned community, the River District, was calling my name.  We’ve loved watching the community continue to grow and develop over the years.  Our children are bigger than they were when we moved in, and we’re now preparing to be empty nesters, but our fondness for the community has only grown thanks to many wonderful friends and memories made here in our town.

Around 2011, I changed from my pursuit of a career in landscape architecture to that of financial, investment, and estate planning for businesses and individuals.  Some think this change drastic, but really both careers suit my passion (obsession?) for strategy and planning.  That passion was exactly what led me to run for City Council in 2012, and I was thrilled to be part of the "people’s voice" for our community as a council member starting January 1, 2013.  I was elected a for a second term and served on council until the end of 2021.  I remain a financial advisor and was humbled to be appointed back to the council in December 2025.

Service and giving to others is part of my core values.  In addition to serving my clients, professionally and serving our community as a council member, I also serve on the Board of Directors for both the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce and the HUB Sports Center.  I believe both to be wonderful non-profit organizations for which their own success also assists in the future success of our region.

I have strong but humble desires to give whatever skills and abilities I possess back to my community in hopes of providing value to others.  I am thankful for the life afforded for me by the wonderful community of Liberty Lake.
