Term: Appointed June 7, 2022, through certification of the 2023 election
My family moved to Liberty Lake from Spokane Valley when I was 9 years old. Things looked very different back then. There were no grocery stores, fast food, or really any retail establishments except for a Zip Trip gas station where Walgreen's now sits and a little convenience store down by the lake in what was previously a post office and later converted into the Art Chalet, run by my aunt, Annette Carter for many years. Burger King was the first fast food restaurant (now Pita Pit) and Albertson's became our first grocery store (now Safeway). The growth has been explosive since then!
My first job was at Screen Tek on Appleway while attending CV. After graduation, I immediately left to serve a 2-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Panama City, Panama. Upon returning, I studied at BYU-Idaho and was married a few years later. We lived in Liberty Lake (just south of the city limits) when our first child was born. After moving around a bit over several years, hoping to settle in Liberty Lake, we were finally pleased to find an amazing home in the River District in 2016. I finished my degree in Business Management in 2018 through BYU-Idaho online.
I'm currently working in the family business, NBS Promos, and have the wonderful opportunity to work with many family members, and others who are like family, to turn a first generation business into the next generation right here in Liberty Lake. My sister, Rebekah Wilding, even won the competition a few years ago for the design of the Liberty Lake flag!
Because of the deep connection I have with Liberty Lake and feeling a sense of responsibility to give back to this community that I love, I decided to get involved with local government. I am thankful to have this opportunity to represent the wonderful citizens of this city and hope to live up to the reputation that so many of you have set in recommending me to this position. My only agenda is to make sure that your tax dollars are spent wisely, to give you a voice in policy decisions, and to ultimately leave this community in a position to thrive.
Please feel free to contact me with questions, comments, and concerns and let's work together to do some exciting things here in Liberty Lake!
