[ARCHIVED] City field rentals reduced to $0 for non-profits for 2025

Home plate at baseball field

By a 6-and-0 count, the Liberty Lake City Council on March 4 approved Ordinance 308A, which amends the city's 2025 adopted budget by reducing the non-profit rate for the rentals of the city-owned ball fields and sports field to $0 between Jan. 1, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2025.  The $0 rental for non-profits will be for a maximum of 6 hours per day.  This revision for the current year will give city staff time to consider and review new approaches for setting fees for non-profits and other users of those outdoor properties after this year.
Along with the $0 rental for non-profits, game prep for lining and dragging the Liberty Lake ball fields by city staff will be $75 per game, plus an administrative fee of $40 per application.  The $0 rentals for the city-owned and operated non-baseball sports fields will also have an administrative fee of $40 per application.
For information on reserving one of the city-owned baseball or sports fields, please call (509) 995-3588.
