[ARCHIVED] Enjoy Winter Glow Spectacular at Orchard Park: Nov. 23-Jan. 1

Winter Glow Spectacular lights

One of the region's must-see light displays this time of year is Liberty Lake's Winter Glow Spectacular -- which is bringing visitors a visually magical experience nightly from Nov. 23 to Jan. 1 at Orchard Park (20298 E. Indiana Ave.).  This is the 6th year of the illumination-filled exhibit in Liberty Lake.

The opening ceremonies of the highly popular walkthrough display of lights and decorations is Saturday, Nov. 23, starting at 5 p.m.  Activities for that night include opening remarks by Liberty Lake Mayor Cris Kaminskas as well as performances by the Ridgeline High School band, cheerleaders, and dance team.  Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will arrive under the escort of the Liberty Lake Police Department ahead of the countdown to the first illumination of the park’s multitude of lights for 2024.

And, right after the park’s lights turn on, onlookers this year will be treated with a short fireworks display, presented by Evers Pyrotechnics and Greenstone Foundation.  This will be the first time that fireworks have been added to any Winter Glow opening ceremony.

The displays and the efforts to set up the light displays at Liberty Lake’s Orchard Park each year are provided by the members of the independent Winter Glow Spectacular organization.  There is no charge to visit, although people can make donations to support the display while visiting the park or by going to Winter Glow Spectacular’s Facebook site.

The 2024 illuminated scenes -- many of them animated -- will run continuously at the park from Saturday, Nov. 23, through Wednesday, Jan. 1.
