Liberty Lake’s day-long, multi-event summer festival of fun, food, and friends returns on Saturday, Aug. 6, to Pavillion Park. The 2022 edition of the Barefoot in the Park community celebration will be packed with games, kids activities, a car show, music, food and beverage concessions, and vendor tents.
Games for all ages will be set up at the park to play throughout the morning and afternoon. Games at the park will include cornhole, oversized Jenga, pickleball, volleyball, badminton, and spikeball.
Kids especially will enjoy the inflatable play equipment and other activity stations set up at the park throughout the day, such as a bounce house, an inflatable slip-n-slide with mini pool, a bungee trampoline, a rock painting station, and a bubble machine.
The Liberty Lake Kiwanis Club will host an open car show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds from each $10 entry fee will benefit Kiwanis programs, and the first 150 registered cars will receive a dash plaque and a goodie bag. Information on registering for the car show is available on the www.libertylakekiwanis.org website, and car show participants may begin arriving at the park as early as 8:00 a.m. The Kiwanis Club Car Show is also supported by donations from local businesses.
Evening entertainment at the park will come from the Cable Creek Band, an electric original country rock group that will take the stage starting at 5:00 p.m.
Scheduled food vendors are: Patrick the Ice Cream Guy, Liberty Lake Juice Company, Big Daddy Bahm Mi, BocoPop, The Clementine Food Trailer, and Sasquatcho Taco. Also, Liberty Lake Kiwanis will be operating its concession area with burgers, hot dogs, and more.
Business vendors scheduled are: James Corbin/Championship Training Liberty Lake, GeoKids, Plumb Photography, Usborne Books/The Book Lady, Renewal by Anderson, Liberty Launch Academy, Pampered Chef, and Board & Brush Creative Studio.
