[ARCHIVED] Press Release: 3/12/2020 Coronavirus

News Release 3-21-2020

3-21-20 from City of Liberty Lake Mayor Brickner:

As Mayor of the City of Liberty Lake, I want to assure you that the City is taking all necessary measures in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. City leaders are paying close attention to the Spokane Regional Health District’s (SRHD) work regarding the virus. SRHD is monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and will provide information on the status of cases in Spokane County.

Symptoms may appear between two and 14 days after exposure to the virus and include fever, cough, difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhea (rare). If you experience any of these symptoms or would like to speak to someone about COVID-19, please call the Washington state Department of Health at 1-800-525-0127 and press #.

To keep workplaces, schools, and communities safe, practice good hygiene, be careful with meetings, travel, and food handling, consider social distancing and rescheduling large activities or gatherings.

I ask that those who are elderly and those who have compromised immune systems take extra care and precautions during this time.

To find out more information regarding the virus, you may connect with the Center for Disease Control at https://www.cdc.gov/, or the Spokane Regional Health District at https://srhd.org/.

To find out more information regarding potential school closures or changes in schedules, you may connect with Central Valley School District at https://www.cvsd.org/.
