[ARCHIVED] Ribbon cutting ceremony for new Trailhead clubhouse is Tuesday, Aug. 29

The public is invited to a formal ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Trailhead Golf Course’s clubhouse on Tuesday, Aug. 29, starting at 1 p.m.  The golf course is located at 22302 E. Country Vista Drive in Liberty Lake.

The ribbon cutting is expected to include presentations from Liberty Lake Mayor Cris Kaminskas, Trailhead Golf Course head PGA professional Chris Johnston, and representatives from Bouten Construction, Architects West, and the Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce.  Tours of the building will be available after the ribbon cutting.

The new clubhouse replaced the site’s previous facility that had served the course for about 50 years until being demolished last October.  The new building used the foundation of the old one, with some expansion of its footprint to the west side to create a new structure with almost 7,000 square feet on the main level and more than 3,300 square feet in its basement.  Staff began initial use of the building during July.

Among the new features at the just-opened clubhouse are an expanded pro shop, a simulation bay for golf and other sports, an expanded deck area of nearly 1,400 square feet, and a main level flexible meeting room that can accommodate 100 people.  The lower level offers an expanded area for parking and storage of golf carts.  A new restaurant will be opening later at the main level’s east side.

The $7.3 million building was designed by Architects West and built by Bouten Construction.
