Avista customers in Liberty Lake to experience a planned power outage

Spokane, Wash. April. 5, 2021: Approximately 413 Avista electric customers in Liberty Lake and the surrounding area will experience a planned power outage on Saturday, April 17. The planned outage will begin at 5 a.m. and end at 8 a.m. Customers residing in the areas south of Sprague Avenue and east of the Lake will be impacted.

During this time, Avista crews will perform upgrades to their underground electrical system. The upgrades will increase reliability and reduce future outages in the area. The work will be taking place at the intersection of East Sprague Avenue and South Molter Road as well as at the intersection of East Sprague Avenue and South Overlook Road. Traffic control will be in place. No road closures are expected during this outage.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to increase the reliability of the service to your homes and businesses,” said Kelly Donohue, manager of construction services. “Routine upgrades to our electrical system are critical to providing dependable service. To limit the impact to our customers we have planned the outage to start in the early morning. We will work as quickly and safely as possible to restore your service.”
