MOVIE RELEASE PARTY

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is coming to theaters March 19th!  Come and celebrate the release of the movie Friday March 19th at 4:30pm.  Games Activities and Fun!  Want to win a movie pass?  Participate in our Comic Book Contest!  Create a small comic book or create a comic book character.  The top two winners will recieve a movie pass.

Robot Contest

The Robot Contest has been cancelled.  If you were interested in participating please email Tracy at trebstock@libertylakewa.gov and we may try again this summer!

FEATURED ARTIST

For the Month of March we have a Calligraphy exhibit.  There will be a demonstration Wednesday March 10th from 6:30-8pm, make a mini book, and enjoy refreshments and fun!

WEEKEND AFTERNOON FUN

Fridays from 3:30pm-5:30pm and Saturdays 1:30pm-3:30pm there will be a craft, art project, game or activity at the library...feel free to drop in! Questions? Please talk to Tracy! For a list of the activities each week, see the Children's Page.

BOOK CLUB

The Monday afternoon group will meet March 8th at 1:30pm, our book is John Adams by David McCullough.  Come one come all!   

The Thursday evening group will meet March 11th at 6:30pm, our book is Breaking Blue by Timothy Egan. 

Both groups are taking members...come in and check us out!

CHESS

The Library is open play times on the first and third Wednesdays and Saturdays.

First and Third Wednesday Nights 6-7:45pm

(March 17th)

First and Third Saturdays 10:30am-1pm

(March 20th)

ALL AGES are invited to come and play chess.  Ten chess boards (grid mats) and ten chess set pieces will be available.  You may also bring your own chess sets.

Chess instruction will be available on Saturday mornings between 10:30-11:30am for those who would like to learn more about the chess essentials: Space, Time and Material.

Edible Books Coming Soon...

Mark your calendars.  The 3rd Annual Edible Book contest will be Saturday April 17th at 1:30pm!  Familes, children, or individuals may participate.  Please check our webpage for more information coming soon...What is an Edible Book Contest?  Please check out this webpage for inspiration.

WINTER READING PROGRAM

Our winter reading program is running through March 31st called WARM UP WITH A GOOD BOOK.  This program is for all ages. For forms, come and see us!
