The Splash has issued a correction for information that appeared in a story on the proposed community center initiative in the May Splash:
It was reported in the May Splash that the City Council is considering an "Option A" for a community center bond that totals $20 million and an "Option C" that amounts to $30 million. This is incorrect. Option A is an $8 million bond for a community center in the range of 20,000 square feet and Option C is a $10 million bond for a building in the range of 30,000 square feet. The information for Option B - the concept currently preferred by the City Council - was accurate in the story: a $9 million bond for a facility in the range of 25,000 square feet. The City Council will decide whether or not to put the bond vote on the August ballot at its May 2 meeting. The Splash regrets the error.
